Streamliner Skeleton
After seven years of creating with its Clubmaster cushion line, Briston has created a brand new line with a cambered tonneau shape, opening up new possibilities and leaving open all areas of free expression: the Streamliner. This latest addition to the collection illustrates BRISTON's creative strength and love of design. Its fluid lines establish a new vision of watchmaking elegance, while adhering to the codes of a watch inspired by the Streamline style.
Briston goes back in time and draws inspiration from the American Streamline movement, created in the 1930s and which made modern design its signature. Rooted in Art Deco, Streamline Moderne nevertheless stands out by offering softer and more sensual lines. It is these curves, the strength of these arcs, that design the watch brand's new 42x42mm case, all taut curves.

With its sleek, dynamic and fluid design, the Streamliner model's case has been designed for optimum wrist comfort. Indeed, the distinction of this new model lies in the complex interplay between the straight lines and curves of its new case. Its geometric subtleties are revealed in three dimensions: its finesse, its curved profile that adapts perfectly to the wrist, and its sides that elongate the very vertical structure of the case.
In both acetate and steel, beveled edges define and accentuate the curve of the case. To achieve this, Briston innovates with three new smoked acetates. Particular attention is paid to the steel and rose gold PVD versions, as the sides, decorated with a mirror-polished finish, add light and contrast with the body of the case, which has a vertical brushed finish. The corners are individually beveled to ensure a perfect result.
To balance with the apparent sobriety of the lines of the case, the complexity of this new model lies in its dials, composed of three superimposed layers:
– a top layer in black PVD or steel with a “circular brushed” decoration and hollowed-out numbers,
– a transparent central layer with the indications Briston, Automatic as well as a small applied second,
– a lower layer in gunmetal PVD or steel with a “Côte de Genève” decoration.
This level of sophistication demands excellence down to the smallest detail of the finishes, both aesthetic and technical. The delicate work of the dial is harmoniously complemented by baton-type hands that are both skeletonized and fitted with white, blue, or orange Superluminova inserts.
A new Miyota 8N40 skeleton automatic movement manufactured by Citizen with a small seconds at 5 o'clock enhances the dial work, offering a contemporary version anchored in the DNA of this collection. The transparent case back provides a breathtaking view of this caliber, specially equipped with a skeletonized oscillating weight.
Finally, Briston has chosen to present the Streamliner Skeleton on two-strand vintage leather straps. Specially developed by Briston, they feature a spring system that allows you to change straps and maintain the interchangeability so dear to the brand.
