THE CLUBMASTER GMT TRAVELER FOR GLOBE TROTTERS
Nearly six years after its creation, Briston launches a watch dedicated to the world of travel. In a limited edition of 500 pieces, the Clubmaster GMT TRAVELER is a subtle blend of modernity and watchmaking classicism.
Equipped with a 42mm case with an atypical design in line with the DIVER models, this new model is equipped for the first time with the Swiss Sellita SW330-1 caliber. This ultra-reliable movement indicating the time, the second time zone (GMT function) and the date, operates at 4Hz (28,800 Alt. /h) with approximately two days of power reserve.
The case design is recognizable by its two crowns on the right side, a reminder of the first Clubmaster DIVER launched in 2017. Built to withstand water pressure of up to 10 bars, this case features a screw-down crown at 4 o'clock for setting the time and date as well as the GMT function. Another crown at 2 o'clock allows you to set the internal bezel and read the time in the second time zone.
The square-arched shape of the case, crafted from tortoiseshell acetate or polished steel, features a new, scratch-resistant, ultra-resistant sapphire crystal. To complete this case, its transparent case back reveals the movement.
The Clubmaster GMT TRAVELER's distinctive feature is its additional central hand that circles the dial in 24 hours, complementing the traditional hour, minute and second hands, as well as a bidirectional rotating bezel with a 24-hour graduation. This additional 24-hour hand, with its distinctive red lacquer color, indicates the reference time in a first time zone (that of the place of residence, for example), which can be read on the bezel's graduation, punctuated by a day/night indication.
Briston has designed this new model down to the smallest detail. Controlled by the crown located at 2 o'clock, the bidirectional rotating bezel features a 24-hour scale and a day/night indicator that allows the owner of this watch to easily read the reference time. Four interior highlights adorned with a glossy finish punctuate this new collection.
The Clubmaster GMT TRAVELER also features a double-layer dial with raised polished steel indexes and white C1 Superluminova® inserts. The baton-shaped hour and minute hands are coated with the same luminescent coating to enhance legibility. Special attention has been paid to the central seconds hand, which is adorned with a square-shaped tip coated with Superluminova®, echoing the dial indexes.
Finally, Briston has chosen to present all GMT models on interchangeable NATO-style straps, so dear to the brand since its inception. Frequent travelers must always be on time and never leave their GMT TRAVELER!
